Detailed description
Hawker Power (UK) Limited uses ultra-high purity materials and modern manufacturing processes to produce thin plate pure lead AGVsafe PL series batteries, is a new type of high performance lead-acid battery, especially for deep cycle and fast charge use Requirements, more suitable for high and low temperature and other harsh environmental conditions.
1. Operating temperature range
For optimum service life and optimum performance, the AGVsafe PL Series battery is optimally used for temperatures from + 20℃ to + 25℃. AGVsafe PL batteries can be -40℃to +80℃temperature range of work.
2. storage
The battery should be stored in a clean, cool, dry place. Due to the role of internal battery electrochemical reaction, the battery in the open state will lose capacity. Since the lattice and electrolyte of the AGVsafe PL series battery pack are extremely high in purity, the self-discharge rate is very low. But the high temperature will increase the battery self-discharge, shorten the storage life.
3. Enable pre-charge
Before the battery capacity discharge test or cycle test, you must first enable the pre-charge. Before the start of the charge by charging voltage 2.380Vpc (+25 ℃) continuous charge 24 hours, charging the battery without any load.
4. Replenish the charge
5. Floating use
5.1 Float performance
The battery's float life and charging characteristics are affected by temperature. To achieve the best life, the battery should be used in the temperature range of +20 ℃ to 25 ℃.
5.2 Float voltage
The recommended barrier float voltage setting is 2.27V per monomer (+ 25℃). Therefore, the system voltage is set equal to the number of tandem in series × 2.27V.
In actual use, as the temperature increases, the temperature compensation of the float voltage reduces the charge current, partially offset by the adverse effects of high temperatures.
The recommended temperature compensation for the float voltage is as follows:
Below 25℃, 2.27V V +4 mV / 1℃ per monomer Higher than 25 ℃, for each monomer 2.27V volts -4 mV / 1℃ per liter.
5.3 Current limit
Charging time varies with charging voltage and current. For charging purposes, if the length of the charging time is not required, the charging current can be limited to 10% higher than the load current C10 amps (ie: load current + 10% C10 (A)).
6. Recycling
AGVsafe PL series battery design life is long, even in the repeated use or in high temperature, poor conditions, remote location and other environmental conditions, performance is still efficient and reliable.
6.1 fast charge
The fast charging method is best suited for applications with frequent discharge cycles. The charging capacity of the battery is improved, and it is very suitable for applications that require immediate work after a short period of time.
6.2 Charging voltage
As with the float, the charge voltage temperature compensation is also suitable for fast charging.
At temperatures below 20℃, if the charger can not be adjusted to a value greater than 2.4V per unit for temperature compensation, you need to extend the battery charging time. For more information and guidance, please contact Hawker China headquarters.
caveat!
For a long time to more than 2.4V per unit voltage on the battery charge will significantly shorten the battery life.
6.3 Charging
In a cyclic application, the battery is charged by charging the battery at a voltage of 2.38 V per unit until the charge reaches 103% of the discharge capacity, then the charger is turned off or switched to float charge. This operation can make the battery life and performance are the best. If the system can not control the charge by the charge factor, the battery can be restored to full charge (100% C10 discharge depth) by charging at 2.38V per unit charge and limiting current to 0.25C10 amps for 7.5 hours. Charging current is shortened to shorten the charging time, charging current is small to extend the charging time.
Or, if the charge safety hours can not be obtained through the device, you can calculate the required charging time as follows:
Charging time (hours) = ((discharge time hours * 0.8) / charge current limit) * 2 + 1
For example: PL 12-190F battery 80% of the depth of discharge when the discharge capacity of 152Ah, such as the current limit of 0.5C10 amps (95 amps), the battery charging time should be:
Charging time (hours) = ((152 * 0.8) / 95) * 2 + 1
= (121.6 / 95) * 2 + 1
= 1.28 * 2 + 1
= 3.56 hours
After the control is completed, the battery can be re-transferred back to the discharge mode. If the battery is used to provide a backup power supply, the voltage should be reduced to 2.27 volts (25 ° C) of the float voltage level.
6.4 Current limit
In addition to the charging voltage, the charging current will also affect the battery charging time. AGVsafe PL battery low resistance to this feature makes the battery not only can withstand up to 6C10 amps of current, but also in the current as low as 0.1C10 amps state operation.
The time required for the battery to be fully charged is affected by the temperature and charge voltage of the battery at the time of charging.
1) If the battery temperature can be controlled below + 50 ° C, the charge and discharge voltage can be maintained at the level of charge per unit when the charge is controlled by the charge safety time (ie, 103% of the charge is charged to the time of charge) Pressure of 2.4 volts.
2) If the charging time is controlled by the time formula, the charging voltage temperature compensation should be carried out.
6.5 cycle performance
AGVsafe Pl series battery charging capacity is high, the user can quickly charge the way to shorten the charging charge time, so that the battery into the next work to reduce the intermittent, in the same working life will increase the number of battery cycles to a higher.
6.6 Data records
The user must make daily data records. The data to be recorded is as follows:
1) the number of cycles, the depth of each cycle discharge (DOD)
2) the discharge and charging time of each cycle, and the amount of electricity discharged and the charged charge (Ah)
3) Detailed data on the last 50 cycles of the charge voltage / current curve
4) The complete historical data of the ambient temperature and the battery surface temperature recorded periodically during the life of the entire battery
5) The date and time of occurrence of each "event" ("event" means the start / stop of the battery discharge, the start / stop of the battery charge, the start and stop of the generator or other power input device, etc.)
7. Maintenance
In practice, users can usually according to the situation, location and manpower, to develop maintenance plans.
The following is a recommended maintenance plan.
● Monthly (record all measured data)
Measure the battery voltage. If necessary, adjust the float voltage to the correct value.
● every six months (record all measured data)
Measure the battery voltage. If necessary, adjust the float voltage to the correct value.
Measure the individual battery voltage. The float of a single battery should be within 5% of the average voltage.
Check whether the battery surface dust, the connection is loose or corrosive. If necessary, first battery pack / single battery isolated insulation, and then wipe with a soft damp cloth. Do not allow any solvent or cleaning powder to clean the battery.
If you have any questions about the maintenance of the battery, please contact Hawker's China headquarters.
8. Recycling
AGVsafe PL series batteries are recyclable. Scrapable batteries shall be packed and transported in accordance with the existing regulations and regulations. Scrap the battery must be in accordance with national or regional laws, by the legitimate lead-acid battery recycling enterprises for disposal.
